Tour Plan
We’ll begin the day by picking you up at your accommodation in Puerto Natales/ Torres del Paine to kick off our Puma Safari Torres del Paine adventure.
Using detailed analysis of guanaco herd movements, scavenger bird activity, and known puma corridors, our team will determine the most promising area to maximize the chance of sightings.
Before heading out, your expert guide will give a short briefing about the day’s plan, safety protocols, and responsible wildlife viewing guidelines.
Observation safari
We’ll spend 6 to 8 hours exploring the most active wildlife areas of the park, focusing on spotting the puma in its natural habitat. We’ll start early, when these majestic predators are most active, navigating the park’s southeastern sector between Laguna Amarga and Lake Nordenskjöld. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of Lake Sarmiento, the Paine Massif, and countless opportunities for breathtaking wildlife and landscape photography.
If a puma is spotted, we’ll make short guided walks to secure a better view—always following park rules and under the close supervision of our expert team.
Lunch break and second session
Midday, we’ll pause for a box lunch at a scenic lookout and take time to rest during the hours of lower puma activity. Later, we’ll continue exploring nearby areas on foot, capturing iconic views of the park’s dramatic landscapes.
Return to your accomodation.
Exploration in new areas
We’ll pick you up again from your lodging and return to Torres del Paine National Park. Upon arrival, your guide will outline the day’s plan, built on the latest information from our tracking team and the previous day’s results.
Depending on conditions and activity patterns, we may revisit high-probability areas or explore new sectors, adjusting the plan in real time to follow puma movements. These animals are highly nomadic, often covering large distances at night, so adaptability is key.
